Pakistan beat Australia with Rauf's brilliant bowling

Batting wicket bowlers power! Pakistan made no mistake with the bowling as they won the toss in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. Australia bowled out in just 35 overs. The hosts were bowled out for 163 runs by Haris Rauf's brilliant bowling. Then Pakistan reached the port of victory without any hindrance. Then they won by 9 wickets with 141 balls in hand with Abdullah Shafiq and Saim Ayyub's half-centuries.

Fraser McGurk started the aggressor with three boundaries off Naseem Shah's one over. Shaheen Shah Afridi stopped the opener. After some time wickets started falling at regular intervals. Rauf in particular bowled great line-length balls forcing the Australian batsmen to make mistakes. They started getting caught in Mohammad Rizwan's glove behind the wicket after nicking one after another. A few poor strokes also plagued the home batters.

With six catches behind the stumps, Rizwan sits at the top of the list of highest dismissals in an ODI for Pakistan with Sarfraz Ahmed. Had Adam Jumper taken an easy catch, the record would have been his alone.

Rauf took five wickets with 29 runs in 8 overs. After returning the two openers, Shaheen took the jumper wicket and wrapped up Australia.

Steve Smith scored 35 runs for Australia. No more batters reached the twenty mark.

Pakistan set a target of 164 runs in the opening pair for an easy win. The pair of Saim Ayyub and Abdullah Shafique were separated in the 21st over, the runs were 137. Sime was dismissed for 82 runs with a jumper ball. There were 5 fours and 6 sixes in the 71-ball innings. Shafiq also scored a half century. He won the team by going unbeaten with Babar Azam. Babar leveled the series with a six off the third ball of the 27th over. Shafiq was unbeaten on 64 off 69 balls with four fours and three sixes. Babar was playing for 15 runs off 20 balls. Pakistan scored 169 runs losing 1 wicket.

The third and last ODI of the series will be on November 10. Both teams are tied at 1-1.
