Priority will be on players, not committee members: Asif Mahmood


Mentioning that players are the main stakeholders of sports, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmood Sajib Bhuiyan said that they (players) will be the priority. Until now, priority was given to the members of the committee. That won't happen anymore. It's my time, I'll make sure.

He said this in front of the Chief Adviser's official residence Yamuna on Saturday (November 2) at noon. Earlier, Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

When asked about the flat demand of the players, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said that they did not say anything about it to the Chief Adviser. Action will be taken if the matter is in their written demand. We will try our best.

He said, we see a lot of PR of cricket teams from outside, but they also have problems. Minor issues not addressed. The key stakeholders in sports are the players. They will be the priority. Until now, priority was given to the members of the committee. That won't happen anymore. It's my time, I'll make sure.

When asked about the arrears of salaries of the women's football team, the youth and sports adviser said that they have two months' salary arrears. Kazi Salauddin sahib's committee has been there for a long time in Bafufe, now the new committee has come, I will give them a workout. So that the salary is never due in the future.

He said, Bafuf has a huge amount of debt, why is that? Financial irregularities have come to the fore. I have asked the new committee to audit them. Legal action will be taken if any irregularities are found.
