88 teachers and students of Science Faculty of Rajshahi University (Rabi) received Dean's Award. Among them there are 34 teachers and 54 students.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Saleh Hasan Naqeeb handed over the award to them in a ceremony held at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Senate Building of the university on Thursday (December 5).
Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Mohammad Main Uddin and Vice-Chancellor (Education) Prof. Moha were the special guests in the program under the chairmanship of Science Faculty Professor Nasima Akhtar. Farid Uddin Khan.
They presented certificates and award checks to awardee teachers and students. There, among others, the president of the physics department, Professor M. Khalilur Rahman Khan, and the professor of the population science and human development department. Ashraful Islam Khan also spoke.
In the ceremony, four teachers were given Dean's Award for 2023 and 16 teachers were given Dean's Article Award for the same year and four teachers were given Dean's Award for 2024 and 10 teachers were given Dean's Article Award.
There, 29 students were awarded Dean's Award for meritorious results in the 2021 Graduation (Honours) examination and 25 students for meritorious results in the 2022 Graduation (Honours) examination.
According to Rabi's public relations office, among the Dean's Award teachers, three are from Bio-Chemistry and Microbiology, two from Population Science and Human Resource Development and one from Pharmacy, Statistics and Mathematics Department.
Among the Dean's Article Award faculty, five each from Biochemistry and Microbiology, Mathematics, Population Science and Human Resource Development, four from Physics, two each from Pharmacy, Chemistry and Applied Mathematics and one from Statistics.
Among the Dean's Award students are seven each in Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics and Pharmacy; six each in Physics, Biochemistry and Microbiology and Applied Mathematics; Three from Population Science and Human Resource Development and five from Physical Education and Sports Department.
Congratulating the awarded teachers and students, the Vice-Chancellor said that there are many researchers-teachers and accomplished students in this university. It is visible by giving this award. These talented teachers and students will continue their achievements in the future.
