UN reports on increase in sexual violence in war

Tehran – IRNA – The Secretary General of the United Nations has recently published a report on sexual violence in conflict areas, covering the period from January to December 2025. According to this report, cases of war-related sexual violence confirmed by the United Nations in 2025 have increased sharply compared to 2024; Because the escalation and prolongation of conflicts, the limitation of humanitarian access and the increase of pressures against women’s rights, have severely limited the UN’s support activities.
