Google has taken their search feature one step further. The company announced last Wednesday that they brought a new fancy AI tool. Whose name is 'AI Mode'. This will give users a better answer for complex and multipurpose questions, which usually require multiple inquiries.
A chatbot will be added to the main experience of Google search in AI mode, which will work quite somewhat like 'Perplexity' or 'ChatzPT Search'. Currently AI Mode is only available for 'Google One AI Premium' customers and will need to launch the feature by going to their Google search's 'Labs' section to use it. It will be based on Google's Gemi 2.0 model.
Many users actually want to see AI-based results while searching Google. So Google has come up with AI mode. If this mode is turned on (it will be a tab on the search page or on the Google app, such as: like the image or news tab) the user's questions will be answered with AI. These answers will be based on Google's search index and sometimes some helpful links will be shown. This feature is somewhat like 'Gemini' or any other chatbut. However, it is associated with a search engine. This will allow the feature to show real time information.
In addition, a new version of the Google Search AI Overview feature has also been introduced. Even those who have not logged in to Google, now they will see this feature. However, the new version has been launched experimentally for US users.
Google's AI Overview Company's search system is increasing the importance of AI-based content. Earlier, Google had given some bizarre suggestions like 'eating stones' and 'pizza glue'. However, Google is currently confident of its own models.
Google Search team Product VP Robi Stein said, “The information we have received is clear that AI overview is encouraging users to ask new questions, which may have been a little difficult before. He also said that Google is currently using their Gemini 2.0 model, which will be more effective for mathematical questions, coding and more complicated logic processes.
In addition, Google seems to be taking their AI systems one step further and it is not as important as it is to link to the website.
However, opposing these allegations, Stein said, “AI overview gives relevant information to users and when someone clicks on the website, they spend more time on that website. As a result, they will become good customers of them. Because some important information has already come to them. '
Stein added that AI mode is not a complete transition to Google search. Because users use Google search for many types of tasks. So it is not possible to replace everything with a chatbot. However, it cannot be denied that Google's AI feature will now surround the entire search system and will quickly change Google's search experience.
