Tamim is practicing day and night to return to cricket

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal is spending a busy time in Mirpur to prepare himself for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). From morning to afternoon, sometimes center wicket, sometimes indoor or academy ground – this left-handed batsman has put day and night in Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium to prepare. Sweating with the bat every day against the bowlers. Sometimes working hard on fitness.

25 days left for BPL to start. However, as the days progress, Tamim is putting more pressure on his preparation. After passing the fitness test, he is trying to sharpen himself with the bat. Tamim's practice is like an insurmountable fight to return to field cricket. And for that return, Tamim is working day and night in Mirpur to prepare himself. He has been training intensively for BPL for more than a month.

Tamim passed the fitness test a few days ago. This time his aim is to make final preparations for batting. He batted in partnership with Shamim Hossain Patwari at the BCB academy ground today. Abu Zayed Rahi, Ripon Mondal, Naeem Hasan and several leg spinners and off spinners were at the bowling end. Tamim handled each of their deliveries with ease. His batting practice was observed from a distance by BCB coach Sohail Islam and Fortune Barisal head coach Mizanur Rahman Babul.

Tamim will play for the Chittagong division for the T20 edition of the NCL starting on December 11. This star batsman of the country is giving extra importance to his preparation in front of this tournament. He will join the team in Sylhet after four more days of practice in Mirpur.

Coach Babul said about Tamim's practice, 'I basically stood to watch Ripon Mandal's bowling. But I saw Tamim's batting after many days. It felt good. The shots are looking to play and the ball is hitting the bat well.'

Babul also added, 'Tamim's return is important not only for BPL but also for the Barisal franchise. Shanto (Nazmul Hossain Shanto) is recovering from injury. I believe we will get everyone fit in BPL.'
