Taiwan wants to hand over the chip industry to the United States: China

China alleged that Taiwan wanted to give its semiconductor or chip industry as a 'gift' to the United States. A Chinese spokesman on Wednesday claimed that Taiwan wanted to use the industry to get political support.

Meanwhile, US media reported that TSMC, the world's largest chip maker, is Taiwan's chip maker. It is the main supplier of large companies like Apple and Nvidia. The company is currently discussing partnership with Intel.

However, TSMC or Intel did not confirm the information in the reports and the Taiwan government said they did not get any foreign investment proposal from TSMC.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump criticized Taiwan, saying Taiwan is carrying the US semiconductor business. He wants more chips to be produced in the United States.

At a regular press conference in Beijing, China's Taiwan's office spokesman Zhu Fanglian complained that Taiwan was worried that people (TSMC) might become a 'US chip production company'.

He also said, “For his own interests, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government is demanding freely to the outside power. They are opening the doors of interest to foreign countries using Taiwan's semiconductor industry and powerful companies, and even handing over these industries to them as 'gifts', which is actually a tool for independence.

China claims Taiwan as its own territory. However, Taipei opposed the government strongly. However, Beijing has no hand in the process of approving foreign investment in Taiwan.

However, Taiwan or TSMC did not respond to China's allegations so far.

The United States has imposed sanctions on China on export of advanced technology and parts to make chips. However, the concerns about the country's chip or operating system deficiency in this ban have now been greatly reduced. In a recent meeting, Chinese President Cin Ping told Chinese technology founder Huawei founder Ren Zhengye.
