According to Anatolia news agency, Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergaard told reporters that the war with Iran may last for months.
He said: “Not only are we not witnessing a reduction in tension, but we are also witnessing development in the opposite direction, that is, towards a major war in the region.”
The Swedish government has already developed three possible scenarios, the most serious of which assumes that the war will be long and have a large impact on the Swedish economy.
Sternergaard warned that this would have “huge consequences”, pointing to the effects on gas prices and arms shipments to Ukraine.
