Tech giant Google is launching a 'Voluntary Exit' program for US -based workers working on its 'Platforms and Device' squad. That is, the staff will be able to resign voluntarily in this section. The platform was created last year by combining pixels and Android projects.
According to an internal document from the company, those who are unable to fully adapt to this combined section will voluntarily exit and receive the compensation package they deserve. That is, a certain amount of money will be paid after leaving the employee's job, so that they can prepare for new jobs.
Rick Osterleh, senior vice president of the Google Platforms and Device Department, said the voluntary resignation program applies only to US -based workers. Under this, employees associated with products such as Pixel Phone, Android, Chrome OS, Google Photos, Nest Smart Home Device and Fitbit Wairs will benefit.
According to the Technology website NineTofguggle, Google will provide the savens (compensation) package of these staff and more details about it will be shared internally internally.
Osterleh also said that in October, Google Pixel Hardware Group formed a platform and device branch by combining the Android software team with the Android software team. Many workers could not adapt themselves to the new missions and procedures of this integrated party. Google is offering their voluntary resignation. The program is not related to a specific product roadmap change.
