In the press conference, Shafiul Islam said that it is not possible to implement the anti-discrimination student revolution in Jatiya Party politics. Therefore, he is resigning from all ranks of the party to advance the revolution of the students.
Shafiul Islam was serving as the central organizing secretary of Jatiya Party and joint general secretary of Rangpur district for a long time. Also, he is the former councilor of Ward No. 15 of Rangpur City Corporation.
