BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury commented that the national government will reform after the election, there is no need to worry.
He made this comment at the Seventh National Conference of the People's Forum at Ramna Engineers Institution Auditorium in the capital on Saturday.
Calling for maintaining unity, Amir Khosru said, 'Despotism has been removed. But today we have to keep our unity intact for one reason – to fulfill people's expectations and desires, we have to go back to the democratic system.'
Amir Khosru said, 'The friends of dictatorship have started their activities in Bangladesh in various ways. Sometimes Ansar rebellion, sometimes minorities, sometimes through (battery-powered) auto-rickshaws are constantly trying to create an unstable environment in the country.'
Amir Khosru also said, 'We are giving full support to the interim government and we want to do that. There is no other way to return to the democratic process except through a peaceful transfer of power through this interim government.'
This member of the BNP Standing Committee said, 'It is our goal to return the ownership of the people through an election in the coming days. Those who talk about reforms, long before that 31-point reform, I have highlighted a year ago. Within those 31 points, there is everything to realize the dream of Bangladesh in the future. We will do that. The government that will be formed after the elections in the coming days will be the national government and that national government will implement these 31-point reforms. We have promised this to the nation.'
Amir Khusru said, 'No one needs to worry about reforms, there is no reason for anyone to worry about reforms. We will implement the 31-point reforms in Bangladesh.
