Maharashtra-Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: Campaigning for all the seats in Maharashtra and the second phase of elections in Jharkhand has stopped on 20th. Now voting will be held in both the states on Wednesday, 20th November. The results will be revealed after the elections on 23rd November.
Voting to be held on 20th is for 38 seats in Jharkhand, while voting will be held for 288 seats in Maharashtra. By-elections for 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh are also to be held on 20th November.
Voting will not end simultaneously on all seats
maharashtra assembly elections Voting will not stop simultaneously on all seats. Some of these seats are in very sensitive areas where voting will end a little earlier. For this reason, the election campaign on these seats also ended a little earlier than other seats.
But broadly speaking, voting will continue from 7 am to 6 pm on all 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra. But out of these 288, there are some polling booths of 5 assembly where voting will continue only from 7 am to 3 pm. These polling booths are built in sensitive areas. For security reasons, voting here will end three hours in advance.
Jharkhand assembly elections
Voting is to be held on 38 seats of Jharkhand, in most of the assembly, voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. But there are 7 assembly seats in which voting will be held only from 7 am to 4 pm instead of 7 am to 5 pm in some booths. These are also those polling booths which are situated in very sensitive areas.
Similarly, the seats on which by-elections are to be held include nine assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. Voting will be held on these seats from 7 am to 6 pm. After voting ends on 20th, these votes will be counted on 23rd November and the results will be revealed later.
