Khaled Masud Rony, Chief Reporter of Ikra Bangla Television UK and Editor of Banglapage24.com, has been honored with the prestigious “Highest Reporting and Presence Award” by the London-Bangla Press Club for his exceptional contributions in news reporting and outstanding presence at press conferences. The London-Bangla Press Club, the largest organization representing journalists in the Bangladeshi diaspora, awards this recognition annually to one journalist.
The award was presented during the club’s Annual General Meeting, held on Monday evening at the Enterprise Hall in London, with over 150 journalists in attendance. Additionally, Rupi Amin and Faisal Mahmood were jointly recognized for their active roles in the Press Club’s Executive Committee.
Expressing his gratitude, Khaled Masud Rony said, “I have received many awards and recognitions throughout my journalism career, but this feels truly special. I am one of the 288 members of this esteemed club. I am deeply grateful to the Press Club for nominating me for this honor. Every recognition inspires individuals to work even harder. I seek everyone’s prayers for my future, so I can continue to advance in my career by utilizing my professional experiences. I promise to uphold my responsibilities with integrity.”
Khaled Masud Rony has had a distinguished career, working for Manabzamin daily in Bangladesh and London from 2006 to 2023. Prior to that, he worked for Banglabazar and Jugobhayer newspapers. He has also served as the President and Editor of the Bishwanath Press Club. Furthermore, from 2021 to 2023, he worked with ATN Bangla UK and has been managing the online publication Banglapage since 2016. His hometown is Bishwanath, Sylhet.
