Interim government has taken up the challenge of building a new Bangladesh without discrimination: Chief Adviser


Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said that the interim government has accepted the challenge of building a new Bangladesh without discrimination through reforms. He said these things in a message given on the occasion of 'National Cooperative Day-2024' on Saturday.

In a statement sent to the media on Friday (November 1), Professor Muhammad Yunus said, 'The 53rd National Cooperative Day-2024 is being celebrated in the new Bangladesh, which was achieved in return for the mass uprising of the students-workers-people. On this occasion, I wish and congratulate all the cooperatives of the country.'

Mentioning the need for reforms in the cooperative arena to make the economy dynamic, the Chief Advisor said, it is important to build an efficient and sustainable cooperative system to create entrepreneurship in our society. Keeping this goal in mind, the theme of this year's National Cooperative Day is 'Cooperatively build the country, Bangladesh without discrimination' is very timely.

The chief adviser said that the cooperative sector has been playing an important role in poverty alleviation and socio-economic development of the country. At present, the interim government is working to increase the performance of the cooperatives by providing intensive professional training, loan facilities to the cooperatives on easy terms, technical and other facilities according to the local needs of the country. To realize the dream of a new economy, cooperatives need to be modernized and up-to-date.

He wished the overall success of all the programs organized on the occasion of 53rd 'National Cooperative Day-2024'.
