Meerapur Bypoll Election 2024: The counting of votes for the by-elections held on 9 seats of Uttar Pradesh will take place on Saturday (22 November). A day before the counting of votes, officials took stock of all the arrangements on the spot. The decision on whom the voters expressed their trust and who was successful in winning the hearts of the voters will be taken tomorrow. This is being linked to the credibility of SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav and RLD president Jayant Chaudhary.

Counting of votes will take place in 24 rounds
Counting of votes will take place tomorrow in Meerapur assembly seat under Muzaffarnagar district. This counting of votes will take place in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Muzaffarnagar. Under this, counting of votes will take place in 24 rounds on 17 tables. Four polling personnel have been assigned duty at each table.

During this period, all activities will also be closely monitored through CCTV. Counting of votes will start at 8 am and strict security arrangements have been made for this. District Election Officer Umesh Mishra and SSP Abhishek Singh took stock of the counting venue and gave necessary guidelines. ADM E Narendra Bahadur told that all our preparations are complete and counting of votes will start from 8 am in the morning and it will be completed in 24 rounds.

SP-RLD credibility battle
The picture of how much strength is there in the claims of RLD chief and Union Minister of State Jayant Chaudhary and SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav in the by-election held on Meerapur assembly seat will become clear tomorrow. Meerapur seat is also being linked to the prestige of Jayant Chaudhary.

There was an alliance between SP and RLD in the 2022 assembly elections, when Chandan Chauhan from RLD became MLA. Lok Sabha elections He was elected MP from Bijnor in 2017, after which this seat became vacant. Jayant Chaudhary wants to save his reputation by winning this seat. This time RLD has formed an alliance with BJP.

Samajwadi Party is also trying hard to win the Meerapur seat and is making every effort to defeat Jayant Choudhary. Before the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav wants to give a big message to the West by winning this seat. It remains to be seen who will win between RLD BJP candidate Mithlesh Pal and SP candidate Sumbul Rana.

These candidates will also give tough competition
The fate of all the 11 candidates on Meerapur assembly seat will be decided tomorrow, but all eyes are on the candidates of the five main parties. Apart from RLD and SP, candidates of Azad Samaj Party, AIMIM and BSP also tried their best.

MP Chandrashekhar Azad tried his best several times in Meerapur ground for his candidate Zahid Hussain. Asaduddin Owaisi also campaigned vigorously for his candidate Arshad Rana, where he tried to change the election atmosphere in his favor with his sarcastic arrows in a big public meeting.

BSP supremo Mayawati fielded Shah Nazar, but no big leader of BSP was seen in the field. Even Mayawati herself did not hold any rally or road show, but the candidates of all the three parties made the contest interesting with their claims and publicity.

Kakrauli remained the center point
On the day voting took place for the Meerapur by-election, Kakrauli village remained at the center of politics throughout the day. Sometimes about stone pelting and sometimes about the inspector pointing his pistol. Many news kept coming from Kakrauli from morning till evening. Sometimes there were many reports of voters being stopped from voting and sometimes the video of AIMIM candidate Arshad Rana's son being detained and the police tussling with him also went viral. How much impact all these incidents had on the Meerapur elections will become clear tomorrow.
