Congress MP Tariq Anwar said, 'Removing the burqa of Muslim women during elections is a violation of the Constitution'

Delhi News: Congress MP Tariq Anwar expressed his opinion on many important issues in a special conversation with the media on Tuesday. During this, he gave his reaction on the High Court's decision regarding Himachal Bhawan, the letter sent by Samajwadi Party to the Election Commission and Sharad Pawar's statement of BJP crossing 400.

When asked about the decision of Himachal Pradesh High Court to attach Himachal Bhawan in Delhi, he said that the court would have taken this decision keeping in mind all the aspects, and it is a judicial matter. Whatever decision the court takes, it will be right from its point of view. We see it as part of the judicial process.

In the letter sent by the Samajwadi Party to the Election Commission, it has been demanded that the burqa of Muslim women should not be removed during voting and they should be given relief from checking. On this, Tariq Anwar supported Samajwadi Party and said that this is a very right step. There is a tradition in our country, which has been going on since independence. We need to maintain that tradition. Forcing a woman to take off her burqa or giving the police the right to check her identity is contrary to the Constitution. It is sad that if this is happening on the instructions of the government, then it is a violation of the Constitution.

On the question raised by Sharad Pawar on BJP's slogan of crossing 400, Tariq Anwar said that Sharad Pawar has raised the right question. Before the elections, many BJP MPs, ministers and leaders were saying that if they came to power with full majority, then there was a need to change the Constitution. Their aim was to change the Constitution in the name of amendment. This completely reflects his intentions. The idea of changing the Constitution is against democracy and can be dangerous for the country.
