Meta has added a new feature called 'Anonymous' on Facebook by focusing on users' privacy. With this feature, users will be able to post them with secrets and profiles, which can be helpful in discussing mental health, family problems or socially touching issues.
If the anonymous feature is turned on in the Facebook group, only the identity can be posted with a secret. Using the feature can be posted without a profile name or picture in the group. However, the names and pictures of your profile can be seen by group admins.
The way to post the identity secretly
1. First launch the Facebook app on the smartphone.
2. Now have to find the menu options. The menu will be launched by taping the profile picture (three horizontal lines) on the right side of the Android phone. This option on the iPhone can be found at the bottom right.
3. Now tap the 'Groups' option.
3. Scroll or search the group in which you want to hide the name. Tap the group name.
3. Now enter a post. At the time of writing the post, an option called 'Participate Anonymous' will be seen above. Tap the toggle button next to the option.
3. Now a small pop -up will show up. Now tap that pop up in the 'Got It' option. Now your post will be published as 'Anonymous Participate'.
3. You can also post with different nicknames. For this, tap the 'Use Niknem' option.
Then type a nickname. Then tap the 'Save' button.
As a result, your post will be published in the group with this nickname.
How to comment on the Facebook group by keeping the name secret
In addition to posting your own identity in the Facebook group, comments can be made. For this, follow the steps below –
1. First launch the Facebook app on the smartphone.
2. Now have to find the menu options. The menu will be launched by taping the profile picture (three horizontal lines) on the right side of the Android phone. This option on the iPhone can be found at the bottom right.
3. Now tap the 'Groups' option.
3. Scroll or search the group in which you want to hide the name. Tap the group name.
3. Now go to the comment section of any post of the group. Tap your profile picture next to the comment option by name and picture. As a result a pop -up menu will appear.
3. Tap the 'Anonymous Participate' option from the menu.
3. Now a small pop -up will show up. Now tap that pop up in the 'Got It' option. Now your comment will be posted without the name and picture.
