In the first 23 days of this November, expatriates sent remittances of 172 million 63 million US dollars. According to this, an average of 75 million dollars of remittances have arrived in the country every day.

This information was revealed in the updated report published by Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (November 24).

According to the data of the Central Bank, 172 million 27 million dollars came to the country on the 23rd day of October. Accordingly, the remittance flow has slightly increased in the current month.

In the first 23 days of November, 63.99 million 20 thousand dollars came through the state-owned banks. 13 crore 10 lakh 40 thousand dollars through specialized banks, 95 crore 13 lakh 10 thousand dollars through private banks and 4 million 80 thousand dollars through foreign sector banks.

Earlier, expatriates sent around USD 191 million in the first month of the current financial year in July, after receiving USD 253.86 million in remittances last June, which was the lowest in the last 10 months. However, after the formation of the interim government, the situation started to normalize. In continuation of this, expatriates sent remittances of 222 crore 13 lakh 20 thousand US dollars last August. Besides, the highest remittance of 240 crore 47 lakh 90 thousand dollars of the current financial year came to the country last September. 239 million 50 million 80 thousand US dollars came in October.
