Madbouly: We intend to increase the number of joint development projects with the Korean Agency in the next stage

Arab Finance: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting with Chang Won-sam, President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and his accompanying delegation, according to statement cabinet.

Madbouly stressed the position of the Republic of Korea as one of Egypt's distinguished partners in Asia, noting that cooperation between the two countries is a unique example of fruitful partnerships through the implementation of many pioneering projects in Egypt, in line with the Egyptian state's development goals to achieve sustainable development.

The Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation for Egypt's selection as one of the five priority partners in the Republic of Korea's official development assistance program, which reinforces the importance of our bilateral cooperation and reflects our shared commitment to sustainable development.

He highlighted the portfolio of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Egypt, which amounted to about $100 million, to support development projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation.

The Prime Minister praised the valuable contributions of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in supporting the Egyptian government’s efforts in the field of capacity building for government cadres through the Capacity Improvement Program (CIAT), as many officials benefited from these training programs, which greatly enhanced Egypt’s capabilities in the field of governance and management. He expressed his aspiration to continue fruitful joint cooperation in the field of knowledge exchange and capacity building.

The Prime Minister also expressed his aspiration for further cooperation with the Korean Agency by increasing the number of joint development projects, in line with Egypt’s comprehensive development priorities. The Minister of International Cooperation also expressed her aspiration to explore new horizons for cooperation in the field of green energy, advanced technology, education reform, and infrastructure development. Smart Infrastructure, adding: We hope to work closely together to create a roadmap for long-term cooperation in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and achieve the desired benefit from Korea’s experience in digital transformation and innovation.
