Chelsea won the first match back from the international break. Today, the Blues beat Leicester City 2-1 at their ground King Power Stadium in the English Premier League.
Nicholas Jackson gave Chelsea the lead in the 15th minute with an assist from Enzo Fernandes. The Senegalese forward contributed 10 goals (7 goals, 3 assists) in the league this season. Enzo increased the gap of the blues in the 75th minute. This is the Argentine midfielder's first goal this season.
However, Leicester won the match in the last minute. They pulled one back from the penalty spot in the fifth minute of added time. However, despite trying to equalize in the rest of the time, Enzo Maresca could not break the defensive wall of the team.
After two draws in the league, Chelsea's points in this season stood at 22 in 12 games. The Blues are third in the points table. Leicester is in 16th place with 10 points from the draw. Chelsea drew 1-1 against Manchester United and Arsenal in their previous two matches in the league.
