RBI deputy governor said, “Financial inclusion does not only mean providing access to banking, but also to enable people to improve their lives and contribute to the country’s economic progress through financial literacy.”

Reserve Bank of India Deputy-Governor Swaminathan Jankiraman said on Saturday that the initiative of financial inclusion like re-KYC camp is not limited to increasing banking access only, but also empowers customers through financial literacy.

In the financial inclusion program organized by the Indian Bank (Headquarters Chennai) in Thiruvallur district, Jankiraman emphasized the importance of such events. He said that such camps help people complete their re-KYC (know their customer) without going to the bank branch.
