Arrangements to promote names other than Oli-Redwan: LDP

LDP President Oli Ahmed and General Secretary Redwan Ahmed. Legal action will be taken against the media if any media publishes the names of other persons as LDP president and general secretary instead of these two.

LDP Joint Secretary General Salah Uddin Razzak gave this information in a statement on Friday (November 1).

Salah Uddin Razzak said, Liberal Democratic Party-LDP is the No. 1 registered political party by the Election Commission. Its symbol is the umbrella. The founding president of the party is serving as the titled freedom fighter Dr. Colonel (retd) Ali Ahmad Bir Bikram. Who has played an active role in the movement for the fall of the fascist Hasina government for the last 16 years.

He also said that LDP is an independent political party of Bangladesh. It has no parts or fractions. But for quite some time now we have been noticing that a small group has been promoting the statements and statements of a part of LDP or someone else using LDP name in various newspapers and TV media. Even newspapers or TV media are misleading the nation by mentioning LDP with their name and spreading wrong information.

Salah Uddin Razzak said, on October 31, online versions of some newspapers published a news in the name of LDP, which is sad. Any statement made in the name of a party registered by the Election Commission – LDP, would amount to unjournalism.

“We strongly condemn and protest this on behalf of the LDP. President of LDP. Colonel (Retd.) Ali Ahmad Bir Bikram and Secretary General Bir Muktijoddha Dr. Redwan Ahmed. Instead of these two, if any media publishes the name of another person as president and general secretary of LDP, legal action will be taken against that media. Salah Uddin Razzak added.
