Arab FinanceIn its session held under the chairmanship of Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali, the House of Representatives approved two grant agreements for the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, including approval of Resolution of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 398 of 2024 regarding the approval of the financing agreement for the “European Union Support to Support Future Generations” programme, which is funded From the European Union with a grant of 8 million euros.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, explained that the two grants come within the framework of the long-term partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the European Union, through which development efforts are strengthened in many priority areas.

She pointed out that the financing agreement for the “European Union Support to Support Future Generations” programme, funded by the European Union with a grant of 8 million euros, aims to support the national approach to child protection systems in Egypt, through implementing activities aimed at focusing on the political, legal and institutional frameworks for combating child labour. In addition to improving children’s access to comprehensive prevention and protection services, as well as providing a positive social environment for children that includes child protection and guarantees their various rights such as education, health care, nutrition, housing, and other services.
