A budget of one crore Pakistani rupees has been allocated for the reconstruction of a Hindu temple in Pakistan's Punjab province. With this fund, the restoration work of the temple will begin, which has been in a dilapidated condition for the last 64 years. After 64 years of the temple falling into disrepair, the first phase of its renovation will begin. This information was given in a media news on Monday. According to the news of 'Dawn News', the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), the federal body that oversees the places of worship of minorities in Pakistan, has constructed the Baoli Sahib temple in Zafarwal Nagar of Narowal city located on the western bank of the Ravi River in Punjab. Have started.

This temple had become dilapidated in 1960. Currently, there is no Hindu temple in Narowal district, due to which the Hindu community has to perform religious rituals at home or go to temples in Sialkot and Lahore for the same. Ratan Lal Arya, former chairman of the Pak Dharmasthan Committee, said that due to ETPB's control over the Baoli Sahib temple, it fell into disrepair and more than 1,453 Hindus in Narowal were deprived of their place of worship. After the formation of Pakistan, there were 45 temples in Narowal district but all of them fell into disrepair due to lack of repair.

Arya said that Pak Dharmasthan Committee has been advocating for the renovation of Baoli Sahib temple for the last 20 years. He said that the government has taken steps to repair the temple to meet the demands of the Hindu community. Supreme Court's 'One Man Commission' Chairman Shoaib Siddal and National Human Rights Commission member Manzoor Masih have played important roles in this repair effort.

Pak Dharmasthan Committee Chairman Sawan Chand said the renovation of the Baoli Sahib temple would fulfill a long-standing demand of the Hindu community, allowing them to perform religious rituals at the place of worship. Hindus are the largest minority community in Pakistan. According to official estimates, more than 75 lakh Hindus live in Pakistan. However, according to the community, there are more than 90 lakh Hindus in the country.
