New polio cases in Pakistan are coming in southwestern Balochistan and southern Sindh province. Apart from this, cases have also been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and East Punjab province. Officials are also worried about cases coming to these places. Because, till now they were coming from the northwestern border area of ​​Afghanistan, where the Taliban government had banned the door to door vaccination campaign in September.

WHO has confirmed that there are 18 polio cases in Afghanistan this year. However, there are only two polio cases in the southern part of the country. There were six cases here in 2023.
