Explosion near CRPF school in Delhi

A massive explosion took place near the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini area of ​​the national capital. The explosion was so strong that its sound was heard up to two kilometers away and smoke remained in the surrounding areas for 10 minutes. The glasses of many vehicles and shops were broken. It was fortunate that there were no casualties.

After the blast, central agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) inspected the spot. In view of the possibility of a terrorist attack, NSG has taken control of the incident site. In the initial investigation, there is a possibility of blast due to a country made bomb.


The Home Ministry has sought a report from the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goyal said that the police had received information about the blast near the school in Prashant Vihar in Rohini Sector 14 at 7:47 am. Since Sunday was a holiday, the children were not around the school. The wall of the school has been damaged by the blast and a crater has also been created there. There was a strong foul smell there. Police have increased security in the area. Police have been asked to remain on alert in other areas also.


The FSL team reached the spot and took samples. White powder and some wire-like things have also been recovered from the spot. Meanwhile, fire brigade vehicles also reached the spot. In the initial investigation, it is suspected that high intensive explosive has been used in the blast. Could also be a small crude bomb. In view of the possibility of a terrorist attack, the NSG team has also reached the spot. After reaching the spot, NSG has taken the incident under its control. According to sources of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, in the initial investigation, crude bomb-like material has been found. However, official information will be available only after receiving the complete report.
