Tickets are on sale for the first direct Frecciarossa Lecce-Bari-Naples, the new Trenitalia (FS Group) service which creates the first direct connection between the two capitals of Puglia and Campania and connects Salento to Naples without changes.
The starting whistle is scheduled for July 1st from Lecce at 6.10 pm, while the first departure from Napoli Centrale is scheduled for July 2nd at 6.45 am.
In both directions, the service will stop in Brindisi, Bari Centrale, Barletta, Foggia, Benevento and Naples Afragola, expanding travel opportunities and offering a simpler and more comfortable solution for traveling between Puglia and Campania.
The new train will allow you to reach Naples from Bari in approximately three and a half hours and from Lecce in approximately five hours, thanks also to the activation of the new Naples-Cancello route. A solution that reduces travel times and makes connections between the South and the Naples hub, a strategic hub for national mobility, more direct. This is a first phase with respect to the works on the new Naples-Bari high-speed line, at the end of which travel times between the two cities will be further reduced.
