NCP has started free bus service in Chittagong


Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) has launched a free bus service from Shah Amanat Setu (New Bridge) in Chittagong city to Chatri Chaumuhani tunnel end in Anwara to help people heading home during Eid. Jatiya Nagrik Party central member Zubairul Alam Manik inaugurated the free bus service at Tunnel Square on Wednesday afternoon. Upazila NCP joint coordinator Mohammad Delwar Hossain has financed it.

Zubairul Alam Manik said, ‘The country will go on a new path, will not return to fascism- keeping this slogan in front of the organization Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) which was formed from the successful leadership of the historic July 2024 popular uprising, is working with the conviction to stand by the common people. During Eid, the common people suffer extreme hardships in commuting and there is anarchy of excessive fares on the roads. We hope this service will increase manifold to share the joy of Eid with our loved ones.’

Mohammad Delwar Hossain, joint coordinator of NCP, said that the free bus service, which started on the day before Eid, will continue on the day after Eid. NCP hopes that the joy of Eid will be a safe journey and free from harassment.

Upazila NCP organizer Ahmad Noor, Anwara Upazila Youth Organizer GM Riaz, Kazi Muhammad Tanveer, organizer Mohammad Arif, South District NCP organizer Sajjad, Yusuf, Kamal, Russell etc. were present.
