Nobel laureate author wrote latest novel with AI

Nobel-winning author Olga Togarchuk said she uses AI or artificial intelligence in her writing. In a recent interview, this female writer from Poland admitted this. He even said that he used AI to write his latest novel.

Literary Hub or Lithub, an English-language literary media, said Togarchuk admitted this in a recent interview conducted and published in Polish. In the interview, Togarchuk admitted that he uses artificial intelligence, or AI, in his creative process, i.e. writing.

Recently, writer Max Sipowicz drew everyone’s attention to this interview published in the Polish media Bluesky. He translated some important parts of it. In an interview, Togarchuk said, ‘While writing my latest novel…I asked this advanced model what kind of music my characters would have listened to at a dance party decades ago. Then the AI gave me some song names.’

Togarchuk added, ‘I often ask the machine, darling, how can we make it move better? I am aware of many fallacies and fallacies of algorithms in economics or hard data. But it must also be said that this technology is an incredible advantage in literary fiction.’

Part of the interview about writing with AI was translated from Polish to English with the help of Google Translator. There, Togarchuk says, ‘Judging only from an economic point of view, it is difficult to imagine the involvement of writers in writing long narratives. Perhaps a future of coexistence and cooperation with artificial intelligence will help them. Contrary to expectations, I believe our writers will be the fastest and most closely associated with tools like AI due to the nature of their work.’

The Nobel laureate also said, ‘Our literary minds and brains work in completely different ways. Its basis is the establishment of extensive, very extensive environmental and synthetic relationships. Which is quite different from the narrow, highly focused tunnel thinking of academics. I myself bought the most advanced version of a language model and was deeply amazed at how tremendously it broadened my horizons and deepened my creative thinking.’

Togarchuk also claims that his current job will be his last. Because, he believes, readers are no longer interested in complex literary works. He says he regrets the old days, but seems to accept that those times are gone forever.
