Big fall in gold prices, lotus 4374 rupees


The price of gold in the country’s market has decreased by Tk 4 thousand 374 per load. As a result, the price of gold of the best quality or 22 carat per load (11.664 grams) has decreased from 2 lakh 42 thousand 495 taka to 2 lakh 38 thousand 121 taka.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has taken this decision to reduce the price of gold and silver considering the international market and local overall situation. This new price has been implemented from 10 am on Saturday.

According to the fixed price of bajus, 21 carat has decreased from 2 lakh 31 thousand 472 taka to 2 lakh 27 thousand 332 taka, 18 carat gold has decreased from 1 lakh 98 thousand 405 taka to 1 lakh 94 thousand 847 taka. Apart from this, the amount of gold per traditional system has been reduced from Tk 1 lakh 61 thousand 605 to Tk 1 lakh 58 thousand 688.

Apart from gold, the prices of all types of silver in the country’s market have also been revised. The price of 22 carat silver will be 5 thousand 657 taka, the price of 21 carat is 5 thousand 365 taka, the price of 18 carat is 4 thousand 607 taka and the price of traditional silver is 3 thousand 441 taka.

According to Bajus, this decision was taken due to the decrease in the price of acidic gold and silver in the country’s market. This sale price will be valid in all jewelery establishments till further notice. However, buyers will have to pay 5 percent VAT as determined by the government along with this fixed price. Apart from this, different wages will be applicable according to the design or structure of ornaments.
