Mir Shahe Alam resigned from the post of Upazila BNP as the State Minister


Newly elected Member of Parliament and State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry Mir Shahe Alam has resigned from the post of President of Shibganj Upazila of Bogra. After his resignation, Senior Vice President of Shibganj Upazila BNP SM Tajul Islam has been given the responsibility of acting president of the party. Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) announced this information in a circular today.

Mir Shahe Alam was elected Member of Parliament from Shibganj Constituency under Bogra District in the recently held National Parliament Elections. Later, he took oath as the Minister of State for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry of the current government. He decided to resign from the post of president of Shibganj Upazila BNP due to his important government position and party organizational responsibility.

As per the constitution, when the post of president became vacant due to the resignation of Mir Shahe Alam, upazila BNP senior vice president SM Tajul Islam was given the responsibility as the acting president.
