An iftar and doa mahfil was held under the initiative of Rajshahi Division Association Dhaka. It was organized in a joyful atmosphere at the BIM hall of the capital last Friday. More than 150 people from different classes and professions of eight districts of Rajshahi division living in Dhaka participated in the event.
The convenor of the association, Mir Kashim Kamal, presided over the Iftar function. Mahmudul Hasan, a member of the convening committee, conducted the program. In the welcome speech, member secretary and senior journalist Noorunnabi Siddique Swin outlined the work plan of the association for the coming days. He congratulated the members of parliament and ministers elected from Rajshahi division and the meritorious people who have made special contributions in various fields including Ekushey Medal on behalf of the association.
ATM Habib Ullah, CEO of Akiz Agrofeed, President of Sirajganj Journalist Association Dhaka Kauchar Azam, Vice President of Greater Rajshahi Association SM Ehsan Kabir and General Secretary of ‘Faked Kab’ Mehdi Hasan spoke as invited guests.
Among others, artist Piyal Hasan, treasurer of the association Mofakhkharul Islam, life member SM Mahbub Alam, Chalzar Rahman, Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Anisur Rahman and others.
Among the leaders of Rajshahi Division Association and various district associations, Sirajul Islam Nannu, Mostafa Zakir Ahmed, Masudul Haque, Syed Nazmul Islam Manik, retired Superintendent of Police Samiul Islam Liton, Sarwar Hossain Talukdar, Abdus Salam Bhuiyan, Md. Abdus Salik, Md. Arifur Rahman, Ayub Hossain Ujjal, Masud Parvez Samrat and Nazmun Nahar.
Before Iftar, a special prayer is offered for the prosperity and welfare of the country and the nation.
