BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman has said that Bangladesh will never be a sanctuary for extremism or fundamentalism. He said, ‘We are committed to preventing the dictatorship of the people of Bangladesh that have been expelled some time ago. This is our expectation that this country can never be a sanctuary for extremism or fundamentalism. ‘
He said this virtually at the National Poetry Council meeting with the BNP at the National Press Club in the capital on Sunday afternoon. BNP Media Cell organized this exchange meeting titled ‘The Role and Doing of Poets and writers in the passage of democracy’.
Calling on all the free, fair and fair elections in establishing democracy, Tareq Rahman said, “The only claims of ownership of this country are the people of this country. If we want to establish this truth, we all have to unite in favor of a free, fair, fair election for freedom of speech to establish democracy, on the question of humanitarian rights. ‘
“It is absolutely necessary to create a accountable situation in the country,” he said. That is possible by establishing the right to vote. Today is the time to pay the blood responsibility of all martyrs to protect the sovereignty of the country. As a grateful child in this country, let the unity of all of you and all of me be pronounced. ‘
