Jamaat Naeb Amir Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher said the chief adviser lost neutrality in a joint statement with BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman in London. Such a meeting with the top leader of a party on foreign soil is unprecedented in the history of the world. Various political parties, including Amra, are embarrassed. That is why we did not attend the meeting of the consensus commission yesterday (Tuesday). However, I came today at the request of the Commission with the chief adviser. Meanwhile, the party has voted for the formation of the National Constitutional Council.
He said this at a briefing of journalists after the third day of the commission's second phase of dialogue with the political parties on Wednesday (June 5th) at Doyle Hall in the capital.
Joint statement
Dr. Taher said the chief adviser spoke on television and spoke of the election dates. We have no objection to it. There is no question about the meeting in London. However, not just Jamaat with a joint statement – many parties are embarrassed. It would have been better if the chief adviser came to Bangladesh and announced the election roadmap.
The explanation of not coming yesterday and the chief adviser
Dr. Taher told reporters that journalists could not figure out the reason we did not come yesterday (Tuesday). However the main reason is joint statement. You know we welcomed the day before the meeting in London. But when I saw the rules disrupted, I expressed concern at the executive council meeting. We thought the matter was not correct. So the absence of yesterday is the preliminary protest. However, the chief adviser at night called on Jamaat's Amir to take part in today's meeting. So I participated. Hopefully I will be in all the meetings.
Home's adviser
Jamaat -e -Islami Amir said, “What is the level playing field – our home adviser may not yet understand.” Because the person who could not open the lock of a building in a month, has been known what to do during the election.
Jamaat does not want the President and Chief Justice to the Constitutional Council
Dr. Taher said Jamaat first for the Constitutional Council. However, I do not want the involvement of the President and the Chief Justice. Because they are both busy in their own field. Besides, who will solve any dispute? So there will be the Prime Minister, the main opposition leader and the speaker.
