Tesla behind the Chinese BYD, five minutes charges 5 km

Only 5 minutes will be charged at least 20 miles or 5 km. That's what Chinese electric car maker BYD claimed. The company unveiled the new charging system on Monday. As a result, the world's largest car market in China has already increased wide competition and rival company Tesla has put BYD ahead.

US broadcast CNN reports that the Shenzhen-based electric carrier company BYD shows their new charging system 'super e-platform'. This platform is capable of chargeing BYD's latest model cars in just five minutes. The company has claimed that the cars will be able to run up to 20 miles once a five -minute charge. To spread the new technology across the country, the company plans to build 1,000 ultra-fast charging stations across China.

If it is popular, BYD's new charging platform will be known as a major innovation and it will help the electric vehicle market to move forward. It takes 5 minutes to charge a vehicle of BYD's rival Tesla Super Chargers and can run up to 20 miles.

“Our goal is to make the charging of the electric vehicle as faster as an oil -driven vehicle,” said Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD. Note that the latest charging technology has been added to the new models of this company. The pre-order of the cars started on Monday and delivery will start from next month.

Meanwhile, BYD's share in the Hong Kong stock market has increased by 5 percent on Tuesday and reached the new height of the Hong Kong stock market soon after the news of this five -minute charging platform.

On Monday, Tesla launched a one-month free trial for its long-awaited Full Self-Driving (FSD) service in China, which will run until April 1.

Meanwhile, Tesla's January sales in China decreased by 5 percent over the period one year ago. On the contrary, BYD's shares were 12 percent in the sale of electric cars across China in 2021.
