Ilon Musk's company Starlink will get a license from the government to start the operation in India only when it completes all the necessary guidelines. This is said by Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Scindia told Moneycontrol on Tuesday that our focus is to make a policy according to the consumer. If any company has to provide satellite internet service in India, then it has to fulfill all the conditions. License will have to be taken, spectrum will have to be obtained. After this, the operation will have to be started.
Scindia said on the question of Starlink's pending lines application for 4 years that this is completely a matter between the company and the application process. As soon as the company follows all the rules, it will get a license.
Scindia said- market open but, rules have to be accepted
Scindia said that two licenses have already been given to One Web and Jio SES in India. Our market is completely open, but companies will have to follow all the rules.
He said that satellite communication can be helpful in disaster management and providing connectivity to far-flung areas.
Government laid the condition of building control centers and call interception
Before the entry in India, the central government has placed some conditions before the Starlink. The government demands that a control center be set up in the country for shutdown control. That is, if ever this service is to be discontinued, then the control center should be in India.
Also, for data security, security agencies should be given the facility to monitor the call intercept. Apart from this, the calls made abroad through satellite will have to bring them to the Starlink Gateway in India first instead of forward forward.
According to media reports, the first two conditions are already applicable on the country's telecom companies Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea (VI).

Process of license in the last phase
According to the report, Starlink's satellite communication licensing process is almost going to be completed. The company is making compromises for marketing and network expansion with Jio and Airtel for internet services in India.
Why is the control center important in India
Control center is necessary to immediately stop communication services in the event of law and order deterioration in any part of the country. It also includes satellite services. Therefore, the control center of Starlink has been demanded to be built in India.
