According to university sources, during the anti -discrimination student movement, a group of former BCL leader Shamim Mollah beat a student on September 7 last year on allegations of involvement in the Chhatra League attack. Later, the university administration handed him over to Ashulia Police Station. Shamim Mollah is reported to have died about two hours after the transfer.
