The doctor's assistant will be Microsoft's Dragon Co-Pilot

Microsoft has unveiled the new artificial intelligence (AI) assistant 'Dragon Co-Pilot' for use in the health sector. It will listen to doctors and make the necessary notes. The system is created in combination with AI Voice Company Nuns' Voice Dictation and Ambient Listening Technology under Microsoft.

According to Microsoft's announcement, the new system will make the note making the notes easier by 'Multilangue Ambient Note Creation' and features in natural language. It will search general and medical information from trusted content sources. At the same time, on the basis of the conversation, doctors will be able to automatically do the tasks of instructions, notes and medical examinations, referral letters and composition after inspection.

Joe Petro, Vice President of Microsoft Health and Biology Solutions and Platforms, said the aim to create this assistant is to relieve the administrative burden of health workers, so that they can pay attention to the patient more time.

Microsoft said in their own survey that health workers who used Nuance technology experience less fatigue and 5 percent of patients have said their 'overall experience' is good.

Apart from Microsoft, many organizations are providing such artificial intelligence (AI) tools for the health sector. How healthcare companies are using Google's medical AI services in a Google Cloud blog post. For example, they are creating a medical assistant AI agent to identify the patient's health risk. In addition, Google is also using its own multimodal image search feature for the Vertex AI search healthcare product.

This technology is playing an important role in the management of more advanced services and patients in the health care sector.

Last year, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expressed some suggestions for the generative AI devices in the health sector. There were many potential benefits of technology. However, it is also mentioned that models can create misinformation. Last year, a study showed that in some cases the problem was in the medical transcription software called 'Nambala'. It is based on the OpenAI whip model.

Microsoft says they are committed to creating reliable AI design and the power of the Dragon Co-Pilot is based on a safe data. It is especially in the clinical, chat and compliance protection system for the health sector, so that the right and safe AI output can be ensured.
