Hilly ports have increased in the port

With the coming of the holy month of Ramadan, the import of essential food products has increased at the Hili land port in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur. Traders have increased imports of products that are needed for daily fasting like pulses, khesari, lentils, mugs and raisins, so that the supply in the market is normal and price stable. Meanwhile, Hilli Customs Authority is quick to ensure that there is no complication in the product release.

According to the ports, a few months ago, where 2-5 trucks used to come every day, a significant amount of import is being imported every day. Packers from different regions of the country are buying these products from Hilli. At present, the wholesale market of Hilli is being sold at the rate of Rs.

Many of the wholesalers say that the import rate is higher this year than last year, but the price is a bit high. This is affecting the retail market. However, the market is expected to be stable if the import continues. General buyers want the market to be under control this month of restraint, and the businessmen as well as the administration should keep a strict surveillance on the market situation.

Ferdous Rahman, president of the Hill C&F Agent Association, said, “Importers are regularly bringing necessary products including pulses, chola, raisins to keep the market normal in Ramadan. I hope the price will be under control if the import is continuous. '

Meanwhile, Hilli Customs Revenue Officer Shafiul Islam said that from January to February 5, 4 metric tons of raisins, 2 thousand 5 tonnes in 5 trucks, 5 tonnes of mugs in 20 trucks, 3 tonnes of moss in 1 truck, 3 tonnes of mash. And 120 tonnes of linen was imported on that truck.

Customs station sources said the increase in imports has increased the job opportunities of the port workers, so they have a positive impact on their income. Customs authorities say the import of imports is being ensured in the market by rapid tariffs, so that the market of Ramadan is stable.
