Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued a notice to Apple Inc over alleged performance issues with iPhones after the iOS 18 software update. Joshi wrote on Twitter that after investigating these complaints, the department has issued a notice to Apple through CCPA and sought a response on this matter. The notice seeks clarification from Apple on technical issues reported after software updates on iPhones. Notably, complaints regarding performance issues have been received on the National Consumer Helpline.
At the same time, Pralhad Joshi said that the Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued a notice to cab service providers Ola and Uber for allegedly charging different prices for traveling to the same place depending on the user's mobile operating system Android or iOS.
