Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced to name a junction in Lokhandwala Complex after late actress Sridevi, one of the finest talents of the entertainment industry. This action is a lasting tribute to Sridevi's outstanding work in the Indian film industry. The program will be organized tomorrow i.e. on 12th October at 6 pm. Boney Kapoor and family have invited more and more people to attend this event.

Sridevi's unexpected demise on February 24, 2018 came as a huge shock to the film industry and her fans. Even after his death, his legacy lives on in the lives of his fans, and his memories live on in the form of tributes. BMC named the junction as 'Sridevi Kapoor Chowk'. Sridevi lived in Green Acres Tower on the same road, so this place had special significance for her. Sridevi's last journey also passed through this road. The municipality and local people requested that the intersection be named in his honour, reflecting the community's great respect and affection for him.
