We want to create an environment of accountability in the country: Tariq Rahman

BNP's Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman commented that 'dictatorship was forced to flee because all people of different classes and professions were united. He said, 'The rights of the people of the country should be established by uniting in the same way. Through this, we will be able to start the work of building our desired Bangladesh.

Tariq Rahman said these things in a virtual speech as chief guest at Faridpur divisional BNP's day-long workshop on Saturday.

This workshop was held in the auditorium hall of Sadar Upazila Parishad on the implementation of 31 points and public involvement. BNP leaders of Faridpur, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur and Gopalganj districts participated in it. In the afternoon, Tariq Rahman participated virtually in the hour-long question and answer session of the participants. Later he addressed everyone.

Tariq Rahman said, 'There was no accountability during the regime of the runaway dictatorship. If there was accountability in the country, then two thousand crore rupees would not have been smuggled from Faridpur.'

Expressing the commitment to establish accountability at every level of society, Tariq Rahman said, 'We want to create an environment of accountability in the country. Accountability is our main goal as a political party. Only the Prime Minister, Minister, MPs will be accountable? no Be accountable at every stage. As a member of the Union Parishad will be accountable, a Prime Minister will also be accountable. There should be accountability at every level, public and private.'

Instructing the leaders and workers to keep the people's trust in BNP, the acting chairman of the party said, 'If people sit at home because they have trust in BNP, that trust will gradually erode. So, the first condition is that we have to get up and go according to the expectations of the people in order to keep the confidence and trust of the people.'

In this regard, he further said that it should be remembered that the capital of the political party is the trust of the people. If this capital is lost, then everything will be lost.

Referring to the country's reforms, Tariq Rahman said, 'I have seen in the last two-three months, different people are talking about different reforms. The reforms they are talking about are within our 31 points.
