According to the report of the Indian media The Hindu, Bagaiah, a member of the National Committee of the RSS, made this complaint while participating in a solidarity meeting organized by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti (BGUS) at Indira Park in Dharmachari Chowk, Hyderabad, Telangana on Wednesday.
Bagaiya at this time urged the Indian government to take necessary steps to ensure the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh. He said, 'The whole country is on their side.' The RSS leader alleged that the interim government had completely failed to counter the 'Islamic extremist forces' attacking Hindus. He demanded legal action against these extremist forces, release of Swami Chinmoy Krishnadas and protection of fundamental rights of Hindus and other minorities.

Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asked to send UN peacekeeping forces to control the situation in Bangladesh. For this he urged the Government of India to take initiative. He made this call in his address to the state legislative assembly of West Bengal.
Mamata Banerjee said, 'The Government of India can raise this matter with the United Nations…so that a peacekeeping force can be sent to Bangladesh.' He said that he does not want to interfere in the internal affairs of any other country. However, when Bangladeshi fishermen accidentally entered Indian waters or a Bangladeshi trawler sank, his government rescued them and took good care of them.

He said that the West Bengal government has put forward a proposal and they will work together with the Center in this regard and support the decision taken by the Centre.
