Advisor to BNP Chairperson Zainul Abdin Farooq said, the scandal that Awami League has created in the history of Bangladesh for 16 years has ruined the opportunity for Bangladesh to stand tall in the world. We do not deny Hindustan (India), you helped us during the liberation war. But if you have any dream of occupying Bangladesh in the name of cooperation, that dream will not succeed.
He said these things at a protest meeting in front of the National Press Club on Thursday (December 5) to demand an end to Indian aggression, propaganda and anti-sovereignty activities against Bangladesh by the initiative of the Bangladesh Civil Rights Movement.
Zainul Abdin Farooq said, the disrespect he has shown to the people of Bangladesh by attacking the Assistant High Commission in Agartala, the humiliation the Chief Minister of West Bengal has done to the people of Bangladesh, the process of Hindu-Muslim riots in Bangladesh – these incidents would not have happened if Sheikh Hasina had not taken refuge under the Modi government. The main force of this incident is Sheikh Hasina. He is destabilizing this government.
He said, we are independent, we have achieved independence. We are ready to give our lives to protect our freedom. But if you (India) talk about our freedom, our territory, our rights, our democracy, our constitution, then 18 crore people of Bangladesh will protest. You got that proof.
He also said that all the political parties of Bangladesh united. I have promised Yunus – we are here, we will be by your side. Hasina's lovers will never again be able to conspire in Bangladesh. We want to say today – Sheikh Hasina and India will never be able to break our unity. If you don't show us respect, then I want to remind Maulana Bhasani again, 18 crore people will make a long march and resist against you. So please don't talk about Bangladesh anymore.
He said to the chief adviser, Dr. Yunus we are with you. Announce election date immediately.
