Giving information about the incident, a police officer said that a food delivery boy was killed when a high-end car driven by a senior executive of a private company hit his two-wheeler in the early hours of Friday in Pune. The delivery boy has been identified as Rauf Akbar Shaikh.
After the accident, the police have arrested the accused. Talking about the identity of the accused, the Audi car driver Ayush Tayal is a senior employee in a firm in Ranjangaon, MIDC. Police have registered a case against Tayal under the Indian Judicial Code and the Motor Vehicles Act. Along with this, after the arrest of the accused, the police has sent him for medical examination so that it can be known whether the accused was drunk while driving or not.
Police caught the accused from CCTV footage
There is tension in the area after the accident which took place in the early hours of Friday near Tadigutta in Mundwa area of ​​Pune. Meanwhile, after the accident, the accused Ayush Tayal, who was driving an Audi car, fled from the spot. After which the police officers took him into custody with the help of CCTV footage.
Police gave information
Giving further information in this case, Police Commissioner Manoj Pail said that the accused fled from the spot, but later the police identified the car and used the footage of CCTV cameras to track it along with its description. He was taken into custody.
