The authorities of JN Roy Hospital in Maniktala area of North Kolkata, West Bengal, India, said that they have decided not to treat Bangladeshis. On Friday (November 29), an official of JN Roy Hospital said that they have taken this decision to protest against the alleged abuse of the Indian flag and the alleged torture of minority Hindus in neighboring Bangladesh. The Economic Times of India reported this news.
An official of that hospital, Subhranshu Bhakta, said, 'We have issued a notification. According to the notification, we will not admit any Bangladeshi patient for treatment for an indefinite period from Friday. Such a decision has been taken because of the anti-India attitude of Bangladeshis and the insult shown to our country.'
He urged other hospitals in the city to take similar steps to protest the alleged torture of minorities in neighboring countries.
Subhranshu Bhakta also said 'India played an important role in the independence war of Bangladesh. Still we are witnessing anti-India sentiment in Bangladesh. We hope other hospitals will support us and take similar steps.'
