Hezbollah Chief Naeem Qasim addressed the people 3 days after the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. According to Reuters, Qasim said that Hezbollah has won a victory over Israel and it is bigger than the war in 2006.
18 years ago there was a 34-day war between Hezbollah and Israel. About 1200 Lebanese civilians were killed in this. Qasim said that we have won this war because we have stopped Hezbollah from being destroyed.
Hezbollah Chief said-
Those who were betting that Hezbollah would become weak, their bet has failed. Hezbollah brought the enemies to their knees and forced them to compromise.
Qasim also mentioned the pager attack in September and said that Israel had hoped to destroy the organization by attacking Hezbollah's command system, but this could not happen. After this, Hezbollah started attacking Israel's domestic front, due to which Israel came into defensive mode and agreed to a ceasefire.
Hezbollah Chief said – will try to maintain ceasefire Qassim praised Hezbollah's determination not to give up and said that they will try to maintain the ceasefire together with the Lebanese army. Hezbollah Chief said-
We have approved this agreement with our heads held high. Its objective was the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all parts of Lebanon south of the Litani River. We were firm on this from the beginning and Israel was forced to accept it.
A ceasefire deal was signed between Israel and Hezbollah on 27 November. America and France had mediated for this. Under this agreement, Israeli troops will withdraw from South Lebanon and Hezbollah will also withdraw from there.
