Almas missile made in Iran.
Lebanon's fighting group Hezbollah is using the advanced missile Almas against Israel. The special thing is that Hezbollah has prepared this missile by reverse engineering Israel's anti-tank missile Spike. According to the New York Times, Hezbollah seized Israel's Spike missile in 2006 and sent it to Iran for reverse engineering.
Iran reverse engineered these missiles and prepared the Almas missile and handed it over to Hezbollah. Now after 18 years, Hezbollah is targeting Israel's military bases, communication systems and air defense launchers with these newly made missiles.
According to Israel, Almas missile can accurately hit any target up to 15 kilometers. To reduce its dependence on Iran, Hezbollah has now started production of Almas missile in Lebanon itself.
Hezbollah also has Russian missiles The Israeli army has recovered a large cache of weapons belonging to Hezbollah since the fighting in Lebanon started two months ago. There are also Almas missiles among them. The recovered weapons also included Russian Kornet antitank missiles. According to the Wall Street Journal, Israeli forces have found a large quantity of Russian weapons in South Lebanon.
Almas becomes a threat to Israel In Arabic and Persian, Almas means diamond. This guided missile can be fired from vehicles, drones, helicopters and by placing it on the shoulder. Instead of hitting the side, it falls directly above its target. According to Israeli officials, Almas poses a threat to Israeli forces and combat vehicles such as tanks near the Lebanese border. There are three versions of Almas. Hezbollah is using the fourth version of the new generation.
Israel's air attack on Beirut The series of attacks and counter-attacks continues between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel launched an airstrike on Lebanon's capital Beirut late last Saturday night. In this attack, a residential building was targeted, in which 20 people died. According to Israeli officials, this attack was carried out to kill Mohammad Haider, a top commander of Hezbollah.
However, according to the New York Times, Hezbollah said that none of its people were killed in the attack. Hezbollah issued a statement saying that none of its commanders were present at the site of the attack.
A building was turned into ruins after the Israeli attack in Lebanon's capital Beirut.
