A case has been filed in the name of 239 people including former member of Parliament of Narayanganj-4 constituency AKM Shamim Osman. 100-150 unknown accused have been made in the case.
On Friday night (November 15), the case was filed at Siddhirganj police station by the injured students in the student movement. Ibrahim (19).
In the case, Shamim Osman's son Ayan Osman (37), nephew Ajmeri Osman (45), Metropolitan Awami League Joint General Secretary Shah Nizam (56), Siddhirganj Thana Awami League President Mojibur Rahman (78), General Secretary Haji Yachin Mia (62) and Thana Jubo League convener Motiur Rahman Moti (55) and others.
According to the statement of the case, during the anti-discrimination movement on July 20, many people, including the victim Ibrahim, protested peacefully. Then Shamim Osman and his son Ayan Osman along with other accused got together and fired. At one point, Ibrahim was shot in both his right legs while running away. Later, the students took him to Dhaka Medical Hospital for treatment.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Siddhirganj Police Station Al Mamun confirmed the truth of the case and said that efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
