26 people died in a blast at Quetta railway station in Pakistan on Saturday morning. More than 50 people have been injured in the blast. According to Pakistan media reports, the militant group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for the attack.
The BLA spokesman said the suicide attack was carried out by the Majeed Brigade unit. Their target was the soldiers of Militant Infantry School, who were about to go to Peshawar by Jafar Express after completing the course.
Officials said many of the injured passengers died in hospital. Quetta Civil Hospital spokesperson Wasim Baig told Pakistani newspaper The Dawn that among those killed were 14 army soldiers and 12 civilians.
On the other hand, officials have not confirmed that BLA is behind this attack. He said that in the initial investigation it seems to be a suicide blast.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti called an emergency meeting after the incident and ordered an immediate investigation.
After the blast, the injured were taken to Quetta Civil Hospital. Emergency has been declared in the hospital. Doctors and nurses have also been called from other hospitals to deal with the crisis. According to the hospital, currently 46 people are being treated.
